On The Day
Nothing is posted pre-event, so you’ll need to read the information below, to register on the day.
We may ask runners to assemble in their starting waves up to fifteen minutes before they’re due to start, so please allow an hour to arrive, park and register, after which you can relax in our event village and start your warm-up in good time.
When arriving at the event:
You'll need to pick up a disclaimer form and complete it (to compete in the race), then hand it when you go and collect your race number from the registration tent.
On registering, you will receive your Race Pack containing:
- Paper race number and safety pins
- Wristband indicating your starting wave
- Timing chip to attach to your shoelaces
- Trailblazer technical T shirt
Important race pack information:
On the back of your paper race number is a printed medical form. We strongly advise you to complete this form in case we need to help you in an emergency.
Please attach your paper race number to your outer layer facing forward. You may be stopped by a marshal on course and asked to show your number.
Your timing chip must be attached to your shoelaces, otherwise it probably will not record your time. The chip remains your responsibility, so please make sure it is removed and returned at the finishline.
You will be asked what size Trailblazer T shirt you want, as there will NOT be an opportunity to try them on at registration, and no exchange. This would simply snarl up the registration process and affect the start times. T shirts will be available on a first come-first served basis in women’s S-L, and men’s S-XL. Our Registration Staff will be wearing examples to help you choose the best size.
Valuables
We will provide a manned facility for you to leave small essentials, such as phone, money, keys etc. We advise phones are switched off with PIN enabled, and keys have no address or vehicle ID evident. Items will need to fit within an A4 envelope, and will be released on submission of runner number and password.
Baggage: There will be a small unsupervised open-air bag drop area if you wish to leave low value items while you run. We recommend instead you leave items locked out of site in your vehicle, or with family/friends.
We cannot take responsibility for participants’ or supporters’ belongings.
Water
There will be a water supply available in the event village before the start of the race and after the finish. This will either be mains or water containers.
There will be at least one water station on the run route. Check our maps under “Venues” to familiarise yourself with the route details.
The Finish
On crossing the finish line you’ll need to return your timing chip, before receiving your finisher’s medal, goody bag, something to drink and something to eat.
Please note that there is a charge of £10 for any timing chips not returned.
